** THIS CAR IS PHYSICALLY LOCATED IN NEWTON, MA ** This 1974 Jensen-Healey MKII is powered by a rebuilt 1,973 inline-4 paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and it is finished in Red which is complemented by a beautiful, Black vinyl interior. Equipment includes a new black vinyl convertible top, Power Assisted brakes and an AM/FM Radio. This Jensen Healey MKII is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with the owner's manual, service records, and a clean Massachusetts title in the current owner's name. The interior features high-back bucket seats newly upholstered in Red and Black vinyl as well as new carpets/mats. The two-spoke steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer, while gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage are also located in the gauge cluster. The five-digit odometer shows 48.5k unknown miles as the true mileage is unknown. Investment made by the current owner is in the thousands of dollars and includes a rebuilt engine, new dash, new master cylinder, some brake lines, new electric fuel pump, new interior, new top, electronic ignition and many miscellaneous parts. An added bonus, the clock works!! The Jensen Healey's engine was designed by Colin Chapman of Lotus and was said to be the first multi-valve engine used in a mass-produced car. It was able to meet US emissions standards with the help of dual side-draft single throat CD175 Zenith Stromberg carburetors. This engine was rated at 144 brake horsepower with a top speed of 117 mph when new. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and its original rear-end.
