1968 PONTIAC GTO
PHS DOC, #’S MATCHING, P/S, HIDEAWAYS HEADLIGHTS
This 1968 Pontiac GTO looks exceptionally nice in its factory color, Solar Red. The paint is polished out to a glossy smooth finish. It has excellent fit and finish. Looking down both sides it is straight. The front Endura bumper fits really well, The front grills are in excellent shape and the hideaway headlights open and close as they should. All the stainless trim was either replaced or polished. The door handles, emblems and mirror look like new. The door jambs are painted nicely. All the door seals and weather stripping are new. In the rear, the bumper has been rechromed and has new tail light lenses. It rides on a set of 15x7 Rally II wheels with chrome lugnuts, PMD center caps and beauty rings wrapped with a new set of Firestone Firehawk radial tires!
The Parchment interior really pops up against the red exterior. The seat upholstery is newer along with the set foam. The carpet and headliner have been replaced. The console is in great shape and retains a Hurst shifter. It has the original date coded front and rear seatbelts. The instrument panel looks good as well. It features a factory hood tachometer and a retro AM/FM cassette player radio.
The engine compartment is nicely detailed with its completely rebuilt number matching engine 400 ci/350 hp engine, WT suffix code. It has factory style chrome valve covers, air cleaner lid, power steering, and under hood insulation. Everything is very clean. The engine bay has a nice satin black finish.
The undercarriage looks good, The front end suspension and steering were completely rebuilt. It has new upper and lower A-arm bushings, newer shocks and springs. It has a custom 2.5” dual exhaust system with FlowMaster mufflers with correct tail pipes running out the back. Looking up the motor and transmission are clean. It has a M20 Muncie 4 speed manual transmission, rear boxed in control arms with rear sway bar and a 3:90 posi rear end.
The trunk is nicely detailed with a coat of splatter paint. Other features include a trunk mat, spare tire, factory jack assembly with lug wrench and trunk light.
This GTO has a lot of desirable features. It is a very clean and unabused 2-owner car.
