Why This Car Is Special
The 1967 Pontiac GTO marked the end of the highly successful and popular first generation of GTO’s that had been sold since 1964.
The GTO with its rakish body, powerful 400 cubic inch engine, and aggressive ride and handling had become one of the cars to have back in 1967.
We have a restored 1967 real GTO with a lot of originality here at Skyway Classics today. It is a real “242†VIN number GTO, Linden Green Metallic teal paint, black bucket seat interior, with the 400 cubic inch engine, and TurboHydramatic automatic transmission, with the restoration done just 6 years ago!

This GTO is powered by a YS stamped 400 cubic inch V8 engine block, heads, and intake painted the correct Pontiac blue shade of paint, has a four-barrel carb, Four-barrel carb, M/T aluminum vale covers, Chrome open-element air cleaner, Factory cast iron exhaust manifolds, with a dual exhaust system.
It features a 10-bolt rear end, a Turbo automatic transmission. The engine is sitting in a very clean and detailed engine compartment and the entire car runs and drives great.
Interior
This GTO has a black twin bucket seat interior with matching door panels and rear bench seat, wood-grain dash and all the correct factory gauges, and black carpet and GTO floor mats, Pontiac Sport spoke wood steering wheel, pushbutton radio, Power Windows, and a rare column mounted shifter.
Exterior
It has the restored Linden Green Metallic teal paint that is striking and our GTO has those iconic stacked headlights, hood scoop, and the coke-bottle shaped Wide-Trac body lines.
It has great chrome front and rear bumpers, great trim and glass, and rides on correct Pontiac Rally GTO wheels with raised white letter B. F. Goodrich Radial T/A tires to give it the correct period look and GTO stance.
Conclusion
This “real†242 vin code restored 1967 GTO we have here at Skyway Classics is one tough looking muscle car and will always be a legend in the muscle car world.
