Vehicle Description
Beautiful 3 owner example that was restored by National Early Ford V8 Club president Ed Weidner in the early 1960’s. The car entered and won various concours events through the years. This car won 1969 Best of Show at the Ramada Sands Motel on the shores of South Lake Tahoe. The car was purchased by Van Heeter of Oregon in 1970 then sold to Bob Clarkson of San Carlos California in 1975 where it’s remained in the collection until now. Bob entered the newly acquired 40’ Ford into the Harrahs show in June 1975 featuring Bill Cosby as the MC with a picture of Bob and Bill Cosby. The car was upgraded with Edelbrock aluminum heads and intake along with a 3 pot carburetor setup.
